Meet your therapist.
Melissa Galentine Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist
Melissa was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She was infected with horse fever at an early age and knew that someday she would have horses of her own. She grew up taking any chance she could to be around horses. As a teenager, she volunteered at multiple horse rescues and a therapeutic riding program. Melissa attended Northeastern Junior College where she majored in Equine Science.
Melissa met her heart horse, Mercury Rising, in the spring of 2018. She quickly fell in love with his personality and sensitive soul. She adopted him and soon came to realize that he had some difficulty with using his body for normal tasks. While studying natural horsemanship to better her relationship with Mercury, she came across the concept of helping horses with massage and bodywork. She instantly started looking into bodywork and started to try some of the techniques on Mercury. She quickly saw improvement with Mercury in a few sessions.

After seeing the improvement in Mercury, Melissa wanted to continue to help Mercury and other horses find relief from the pain, tension, spasms, etc. and she enrolled in Equissage California Equine Sports Massage clinic. Melissa is now a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist. She is planning on expanding her knowledge of bodywork and hopes to attend more clinic on other modalities.
